My Nicandra

i am sooo happy to see ...my Nicandra Splash of Cream...has started budding...and will surely bloom very very soon...these blooms-to-be seem to be a little bigger than the flowers of the Nicandra/Shoofly i once had in the past....

....but my   Glox...aahhh the flower quality seems to have deteriorated....the flowers are not as big as before....ooh i know the reason why....it did not get the rest period of winter that its descendents were used to... still i think the bloom that results is still pretty...sweetly pretty...!

Ecstatically happy.....

ooohhh yes...i am...for when i got home yesterday...a package was waiting for me... in it was the plant i had long yearned for...(with two others..) had once tried to raise from a seed sent by a friend in the US....n failed...of course...the wisteria...this is a purple/blue wisteria.

I do not know whether this little immigrant to my garden will survive...  thrive and finally bloom... i pray for miracles... May He grant my wish to see n smell a blooming wisteria in my own garden....amen.

Now...this is one of the 'others'....i was told this is an everbearing strawberry...oh yeah...i do know strawberries need a cool climate to do well....so i do not put too much hope on it thriving...anyway i really appreciate the kind gesture of  my online friends for sending....yep even if it survives and may finally fruit....the fruit might be sour...due to our climatic condition...i don't mind...i'd be very very thankful if it could simply thrive.... another extra is d Mother-of-Thousand plant....planted it in the garden...for i know it is an easy plant...non-fussy and tenacious... but my wisteria n the strawberry are in pots and are still inside the house.... think they may still need a lot of attention....to my online friends Dmitri and Olga Matievski....  thanx zillions n zillions for sending....

My Acidanthera....

....has finally bloomed...but up to date...there's only one flower.....more to come!!

....n a posting by Typical Gardener ...http://typicalgardener.wordpress.com/2011/09/07/coreopsis-hybrid/   motivated me to seek out this poor plant that i had neglected for so long....finding it still alive despite having to share its growing space with a lot of overgrown weeds!!  TG's pics  plus d fact that it is still alive motivated me to salvage it....pulled out the weeds n added some new soil...put it out in a more sunny location...n hope it will reward me with some blooms in d near future....

Hah...watz this..? Nope...not a snake ...but  gladioli...What really puzzles me is that every time my glads decide to flower...they produce a long crooky-crooked flower stalk resembling a slithering green snake....despite being in a sunny location...really puzzles me!!
