My yarrow/Achillea millefolium 'Summer Berries'

I love Acillea millefolium... i love the aromatic finely divided feathery-looking leaves... and i sooo love the simple tiny flowers.... though tiny they are abundant and tightly-packed into a showy flower head.

My Achillea millefolium 'Summer Berries' has bloomed... although the inflorescense is not as abundant as shown by google ... it is still as pretty..... i have tried growing Achillea several times.... have failed in the past... there are about 2 or 3 occasions when my Achillea did bloom before dying out on me....

.... but i m now very worried that this Achillea millefollium of mine may also be leaving me.... for some leaves are browning away... the leaves at the base..... they do not look fine.... could it because i have been over-watering her.... i know that Achillea does not like 'wet feet' and prefers to be on the dry side.... but during very hot days she wilts.... so i water.... though the soil was still rather damp.... now it does not look healthy and robust.... and i am sooo worried.... i will stop watering for a few days and see how it goes....

in memoriam - Yellow Raspberry 'Fall Gold'

...another 'obituary' i sadly need to write...err type that is... is for my Rubus idaeus 'Fall Gold'....  unfortunately my Fall Gold died before i could share an air-layered cutting with my fellow gardening friend Mohd Nor Azalli... had started the air-layering but it died before the air-layering done managed to root.... sad...sad...sad... :(

in memoriam..... Citrus sinensis

nope no one passed away recently... just my Citrus sinensis.... i thought the yellowing was due to chlorosis/iron deficiency... when it was simply a case of an over-zealous-over-excited-gardener-over-fertilising-her-plant...or rather her Citrus sinensis..... well regrets i have such a lot... but non of any use... what is gone...IS GONE... no use crying over spilt milk...or rather over a dead Citrus sinensis.....

Death of a beloved... somewhere in May 2017.... :(

However there is at least great hope for replacement ... alhamdullillah some time last year did give away some cuttings to a fellow gardening enthusiast Mohd Nor Azalli.... in exchange for a Nashi Pear plant which he had successfully air-layered some time before.... who grafted them onto his own Citrus.... well can't remember what Citrus it was... so my Citrus sinensis replacement is already underway.... hopefully in a few week's time i will get my Citrus sinensisz replacement... in shaa allah... thanks zillions to Mohd Nor Azalli....  BTW the Nashi Pear seems to be doing fine.... has yet to flower as it is still a rather young plant..... will surely post an update on the Nashi Pear when it flowers..... hopefully not too far away in the future... in shaa allah

My Citrus sinensis/Navel orange's replacement underway.... praying it will be successful... and i will get a new Navel orange plant soon.... am impatiently looking forward and counting the days.... :))

All the fruit buds of the navel orange/Citrus sinensis i posted previously dropped....however more developed...and more flower buds are coming out too.... i simply cannot describe how excited i am looking at the new flower buds coming out....

And what is more .....the new fruit buds....some have dropped though.... seem to be hanging on this time...despite the fact that most of the leaves are still rather yellow...i have bought Calcium-Boron foliar feed...but aaah yet to spray...hopefully soon....

Funny...when it was vigorously growing with luscious green leaves....no blooms at all ...and no fruit of course.... now it seems to be not at its greatest health... the leaves are showing signs of nutrient deficiency... they are yellowing.... but it is budding.... only one stalk at the moment... but i see signs of more blooms about to appear....

Could this yellowing be due to chlorosis /iron deficiency...? wonder if it is due to the monsoon season we are experiencing now.....there has been lots and lots of heavy rains....sometimes for days with slight breaks of lighter rains and sometimes drizzles in between..... could this be the reason why the leaves seem to be yellowing....siighhh wish i know what to do... :(

Gojiberry or Wolfberry ...

i have been neglecting this little blog of mine... have not visited...thus have not updated for some time...though several new plants have been added to the garden...there is some free time at the moment so i thought i would post about one of the new plants i managed to acquire.... my gojiberry or wolfberry.

i am not sure if this plant i have is a Lycium barbarum or Lycium chinense... most probably the latter.... seems that it is more heat tolerant ..while the former need more cooler temps....

i had in the past tried sowing gojiberry seeds....it was a total failure...none germinated...and this is my third attempt at trying to root gojiberry.... two past attempts also  failed... alhamdullillah this third try is finally a success....thanx zillions to Dmitri Matievski...my trusted supplier of US plants...

Wonder of wonders...my little gojiberry plant is so impatient to fruit... it has produced two little flower buds.... i do not have the heart to pinch off the tiny buds and decide to leave them be.....
