Guests In My Garden......

First is this snake.....i think it is a venomous kind, but i was not sure.....so i tried looking it up on the net...but in vain....

Then i managed to contact
Lance

Twitter: @reptilegardens
Lance told me that it is quite venomous and warned me to be careful....Though the venom is really designed for killing small lizards and rarely does much to a human...still it should be handled with care or even better yet just avoided.
Thank you again to Lance for taking the trouble to get me the needed info.......

Ahh...here is my second guest....a lizard.  Nope..i do not know it's scientific name.
Anyway,  it is a more welcome guest than the snake, of course.  For i am sure it will
help me to get rid of some of my garden pests...of which i do have too many!!
No doubt... the snake too would be doing the same...BUT...well am sure not many feel
comfortable having a venomous snake as a garden guest. Nevertheless,
i will let it be...for as a creature of God's creation.....
it surely does have its own important role in nature!

    1. wa alaikum salaam wbt....gardener...i would not recommend others buying unless u do not mind d frustration... This is my second plant...d first was raised from a seed...i sowed several...only 1 survived....it struggled to live for a couple of years b4 giving up....this 1 i have now...was from a 2-yr old starter plant....it is still surviving...but does not look happy...leaves r few...despite d weather is cooler now that it is d monsoon season...!
But then again if 'tangan u 'lebih sejuk dr tangan saya..!'...may b u'd b luckier....i have not been lucky with all these temperate plants i have tried...xcept for a few....may b u'd like to get to know one who has had much better luck with temperate plants...but he is not into flowering plants....look up SantaiD'Rimba...Dr Abdul Wahab Arbain....he may b able to advise u....i think.

    2. Thanks for the prompt reply. Actually I'm trying to grow temperate flower and it Is not doing very badly, the problem is pH, mildew , aphid , spider mites, nematodes and etc. From your information doesn't sound like it is very happy & maybe it will not bloom, so I'll take it out from my wanted list. I'm am an ardent silent follower of
      Dr Wahab blog.

  2. Well me too...d same problems...but still stubbornly going on trying..despite all d losses i have borne....i have tried quite a lot...at d moment i have several clumps of Lousiana iris...that seem to b growing v well...not bothered by pests...nor any of d other problems we mentioned...which is v good...s i refrain...s far s possible... from using all sorts of poisons ...pesticide o fungicide....BUT it has never once rewarded me with any flowers...!!

At d moment i m trying to get...well they r...o rather 1 is...?? not temperate plant(s).. .tropical....been wanting...been yearning for Artabotrys hexapetalus....i know this plant exists here in malaysia...one place i know is the Taman Bunga in KL...but cant find any retailers offering it in malaysia.... another plant i want is Passiflora alata....but it is a granadilla which prefers milder climes.... n sighhh ..both r expensive plants to buy...!!

woops....BTW don't give up so fast...who knows u may b luckier than i ...in coaxing a wisteria to grow...n finally bloom...BUT a word of warning tho...a wisteria will only bloom after abt 5 - 10 years...!! yeap...i knew that b4 i bought it...still...i wanted to try...stupidly crazy of me, huh...? Well...i m still hanging to a hope that a miracle may happen....
