Sorry Priscilla dear...my poor camera was not able to capture your true beauty....!

This pair of Hemerocallis Parson's Choice blooms.....i think are smaller than should be.... i think....geographical and climatic reasons i suppose....but at least Parson's Choice did produce some flowers for me...the first ever Hemerocallis blooms in my little garden...!!

January 23rd update....

i have a cold and resting at home today...so am taking this opportunity to update this little blog of mine...the two Giant Granadilla babies planted a few days ago....do not look encouraging...the stems are rather shrivelled...aahh this is a second attempt...but well i have not totally given up hope on them yet...hope with time they will perk up....

...as this Achillea has done...it arrived on 8th October 2013....looking totally dead....

...today 23rd January 2014...it looks like this...Alhamdullillah....

Achillea Saucy Seduction...may you flower soon....

The yellow figs are showing good progress too....

...and alhamdullillah my Daylily Hemerocallis Parson's Choice is about to bloom...the buds...though only 2 little stalks....are burgeoning day by day.....it will not be long now before it blooms....hints of colour can now be seen on them.....

The other 2 Hemerocallis....Gentle Ed and Scottish Fantasy... that arrived with Parson's Choice have not shown any signs of flowering yet...but are both showing good vigour...in fact Scottish Fantasy looks more vigorous than Parson's Choice.....

Daylily Scottish Fantasy

Daylily Gentle Ed

...and my Lousiana Iris is blooming again....

...also one of my glads is on the brink of blooming...hints of colour can already be seen...looks like another red...or probably pink...hopefully the latter...as i do have quite a lot of red glads already.....if i am not mistaken this glad is from my dear friend Dr Wan Hasmah....

Finally...last but not least....my Lavender...also from my dear friend Dr Wan Hasmah.....is also showing good vigour...aah but yet to bloom... am still waiting....hopefully in the near...very near future....

woops...i almost forgot my Avocado Haas...yep it seems to be doing fine up to date...no pic though...!

Waialua Coffee and Giant Granadilla....

...arrived safely yesterday 19 January 2014...

planted this morning 20 January....the pair of Giant Granadilla/Passiflora quadrangularis is a 'resend' by Jeff Crawford...as the first pair was DOA...dead on arrival.... am very grateful that Jeff was willing to resend...with the coffee plant i bought to replace the one CMS had cut down somewhere in the past...

well...i am not very optimistic over the plants' chance of survival...especially the chance of the smaller one of the pair... the stem does look rather shrivelled...siiiggghhh...but i leave everything to Him....i pray for the best.....

Yellow fig and Avocado Haas....

...from Dmitri Matievski...posted on 30th December 2013...arrived 12 January 2014...two full weeks.....and i was sooo very worried .....but Alhamdullillah they finally arrived safe and sound...err viable still....  :))

Both the Avocado and the two yellow figs have been planted the same day they arrived...as soon as i got home from work.... One of the yellow figs may be exchanged with a Khurtmani from Dr Mazlan (Redland- Fig Carica Pokok Tin). Dmitri also sent some red rice and black rice seeds but i am not sure where to plant these seeds yet....

New Plants....not so new...aah...

First...adenium Yellow Persap and Sweet Orange...received from Mr Eng Song on 26 December 2013... planted the same day....

Second... Lantana... a wild flower used to be ignored in the past.... has gained more popularity lately...even i was seduced into buying it.... and it was not cheap.... bought it from a very large nursery in Kg Kajang of Tanah Merah, Kelantan...on Thurday January 2nd 2014.... luckily the second boss of the nursery.... the daughter of the owner was an ex-student of UiTM Machang campus...so we...Kak Nik and I...got quite a bargain.... ( i also bought 2 Cempaka putih plants..a hybrid between Michelia Champaca and Magnolia Montana with sweet strong fragrance.... one is for Nah and MIL in Merang... ) I bought this Lantana plant ..a large plant with different coloured flowers....for RM40....we also got a packet of fertilizer as a gift from our 'ex-student'...thank you Siti Noor Zuraida Yahya of AW Setiakwan Nursery, Kg. Kajang Tanah Merah, Kelantan.....
